By Betty Hayes

If you would like to open a new business, it is wise to know the form of business you want to delve in. Limited Companies have become very popular over the years as they are the easiest legal businesses that people can delve in. Hence, if you want to join the many people who are already in this businesses, you should know what steps you are supposed to follow. This is a very flexible business that is simple to start once you meet all the requirements. Below is a guide that you should follow when starting an LLC in Nevada.

The first thing to do is to secure and verify a Limited Liability name. This is critical as you should have a unique brand name. It should thus be not too similar to other registered businesses. Also, the brand name should not have any wording that is restricted. The name should contain words like Limited Liability company, Limited Company or their abbreviations.

The second step is looking for a registered agent in Nevada. This is a professional that will act on behalf of your business. The expert should be verified by the state you are living in and have an official document showing that he/she has met all the legal requirements. These agents are very important as they will help you run the business smoothly. This is a requirement that you have to meet before operating the business.

The third step you are supposed to undertake is to file articles of organization. You can download the files from the website of the state secretary and file them. It is acceptable to file the articles through a postal mail. This is usually an official declaration that will list the name and address of the business, the date of founding, ownership information and hours of operation among other critical information.

Once you have filed this article, you should get an EIN next. This is a number that is similar to the SIN. It is comprised of nine unique digits and is a requirement for all businesspeople. If you do not obtain this pin, you will not hire any legal employees. Also, you will not be allowed to open a business account or do some transactions.

After obtaining the number, you can now proceed to opening an account for the company. This is also paramount as you need a legal account to bank your business money. Thus, find a bank that you are certain will be convenient for the business even in the long run.

After that, you may or may not decide to draft an operating contract or agreement. This is optional as it is not among the requirements. However, it is imperative to have this operating agreement for honesty and transparency purposes. Thus, even if it is optional, it is good to have it.

The last step, but not least, is handling the LLC taxes as well as licensing. Therefore, you should ensure that you are compliant to the taxation laws and regulations of the state you are living in. The process is usually simple but it can be complex depending the type of business you want to operate.
